Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
Ashton Group ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through ashtongroup.org (the "Site") and in connection with our consulting services, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed this Site to collect as little personal information as possible.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
If you contact us (for example by emailing hello@ashtongroup.org), we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, organization, and the contents of your message. We use it solely to respond to you and conduct business with you.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually all websites, our hosting infrastructure maintains standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, requested pages, referring page, and timestamps. We use these logs solely for security, abuse prevention, and diagnosing technical issues. The Site does not use cookies, does not run analytics trackers, does not display advertising, and does not employ fingerprinting or cross-site tracking of any kind.
Third-party font delivery
The Site loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. When your browser requests the font files, Google may receive your IP address and standard request metadata. See Google's privacy policy for details. No other third-party resources are loaded by this Site.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries and communicate about actual or potential engagements;
- To perform, invoice, and support consulting services;
- To secure and maintain the Site and our infrastructure;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use client information for marketing to third parties.
3. What We Don't Do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and never have;
- We do not share personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes;
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the Site is not directed to children.
4. When We Share Information
We share information only: (a) with service providers who help us operate (such as email and hosting providers), bound to use it only on our behalf; (b) when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property; or (c) in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to previously collected information.
5. Client Project Data
In the course of consulting engagements we may access client systems and data. Such access is governed by the applicable engagement agreement and our confidentiality obligations. We access client data only as needed to perform the engaged services, and we do not use client data for any other purpose.
6. Data Retention
We retain correspondence and business records only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations, and to enforce agreements. Server logs are retained for a limited period consistent with security best practices and are then deleted or rotated.
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including TLS encryption for all Site traffic. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the EU/UK GDPR and various U.S. state privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we collect so little information, exercising these rights is simple: email hello@ashtongroup.org and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
9. International Visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected prominently on this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
